About Abbey

Women's health dietitian,
based in Wollongong

I'm an APD and Accredited Nutritionist with a focus on women's gut health, hormonal health, and PCOS. I work with women who often don't fit neatly into a standard consult — the ones whose results keep coming back normal but who clearly aren't well.

Every initial consult covers a full health and diet history, relevant pathology review, and a practical nutrition plan. I send a written summary back to the referring GP after each initial appointment.

In-person at Embrace Medical Centre on Crown Street, Wollongong. Telehealth available anywhere in Australia. Not sure if your patient's a good fit? Feel free to email before referring.

Who I Work With

Presentations I see regularly

My practice is focused on women's health. Medicare CDM referrals are welcome for eligible patients across any of the below.

Gut Health & IBS

IBS, bloating, constipation, reflux, SIBO, food intolerances, low-FODMAP, and IBD nutritional support.

PCOS & Hormonal Health

PCOS, insulin resistance, androgen excess, irregular cycles, and nutrition support alongside medical management.

Thyroid Conditions

Hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's — nutritional strategies to support thyroid function as part of her overall care.

Fatigue & Low Energy

Useful when standard bloods keep coming back normal. I look at iron, B12, zinc, magnesium, and can add HTMA testing for a more complete picture.

Endometriosis

Anti-inflammatory dietary strategies, gut health support, and practical nutrition for day-to-day symptom management.

Weight Management

Evidence-based weight support for women with metabolic syndrome, pre-diabetes, or weight-related comorbidities.

Perimenopause & Menopause

Nutritional support for hormonal transitions, bone health, cardiovascular risk, energy, and body composition changes.

Fertility & Preconception

Folate, iodine, iron, omega-3s, and metabolic optimisation before pregnancy.

Chronic Disease [CDM]

Type 2 diabetes, pre-diabetes, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and other chronic conditions where nutrition plays a key role.

Outside my current scope

I don't currently take referrals for acute eating disorders, ARFID, patients under 16, or oncology nutrition. If you're unsure whether your patient fits, email me before referring — happy to sort it quickly.
