About Abbey

A dietitian who gets it —
because I've been there

I'm Abbey — a dietitian who specialises in women's health. We work togther to improve your gut health, hormones, PCOS, and that general feeling of being a bit off but having nothing to show for it on your blood tests.

I got into this area because I went through my own health nightmare during uni — turns out spending five years studying nutrition while your hormones are completely out of whack is a very humbling experience. It also made me a much better dietitian.

I'm not here to give you a meal plan and send you on your way. I actually want to figure out what's going on — and help you feel better in a way that fits your real life, not some idealised version of it.

  • No — you can book directly with me without a referral. However, if you have a chronic condition, your GP can issue a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan which may allow Medicare rebates on up to 5 allied health visits per year.
  • Medicare rebates are available for eligible clients with a GP CDM plan. Most private health funds also cover dietitian consultations — it's worth checking with your insurer. Happy to talk through the options on a discovery call.
  • Your initial consultation is about 60 minutes. We go through your full health history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, and goals. Lots of questions, genuine listening. You’ll leave with a clear nutrition plan and practical steps you can start straight away.
  • Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) measures mineral content in your hair to reveal imbalances that blood tests often miss. It's useful for things like unexplained fatigue, hormonal issues, and when your standard results keep coming back "normal." We can chat about whether it makes sense for you.
  • Yes — all consultations are available via telehealth, so I can work with clients anywhere in Australia. In-person appointments are also available. Choose whichever suits you best when you book.
  • Fees vary depending on the appointment type. An initial consultation is $180. If you’re eligible for a Medicare rebate, you may receive $61.80 back. Private health insurance rebates may also apply depending on your level of cover — check with your provider. Not sure what you’re eligible for? Book a free discovery call and I can walk you through it.
