Tips that will make cooking from home easier!

Do you struggle with cooking at home… is it one of those things that just doesn’t come easily to you?

Not only will cooking from home save you money, but it is a healthy way to learn what foods you use to fuel your body

Plus it’ll help you to understand great flavour combos!

This may take some time but trust me, knowing your way around the kitchen is definitely a skill worth having.

TIP 1: Keep it simple

You don’t have to find the most extravagant meal to prepare, start small with meals that only require minimal ingredients (aim for between 5-8 ingredients). Use what you have already have and explore flavours by swapping ingredients for ones you prefer or already have.

TIP 2: Commit to cooking from at at least 3 times per week

This will get the ball rolling on building your confidence in the kitchen. It doens’t have to be spending hours at a time preparing a meal. just commit to at least 3 meals a week and the rest will come naturally.

TIP 3: Use fun themes (ie. Taco Tuesday or Meat-free Monday)

Creating fun themes will make it easier to think of meals to make and prep them.

TIP 4: Use the recipe as a guide… don’t be afraid to swap out ingredients for ones you have/prefer

The recipe is purely a guide. When cooking, there is flexibility in the amount and types of ingredients you use. Don’t be afraid to try something new!

TIP 5: Watch YouTube tutorial to up skill!

There is so much content out in the world these days and its never been easier to access. ig you’re unsure how to make something, YouTube it!
